HUNGER HAS A CURE... It's the support of Food Lion Shoppers Like You!
Help End Hunger in Your Community! Join us in our 7th year of partnering with Feeding America Food Banks on our 'Hunger Has A Cure' Food Box campaign. We hope to raise more than 1.2 million pounds of food with this year's campaign, but we need your help! You can contribute by purchasing a food box for just $4.99 at your local Food Lion store. Leave it in the collection bin and we'll deliver it to your community's local Feeding America Food Bank or affiliate agency.
Each box is packed with the following items:
- Food Lion Macaroni and Cheese
- Food Lion Canned Mixed Vegetables
- Food Lion 1 lb Bag of Rice
- Food Lion Tomato Soup
- Food Lion Chunk Light Tuna
- Food Lion Gelatin Mix
- Food Lion 1 lb Bag of Dry Pinto Beans
- Betty Crocker Corn Muffin Mix, a donated item
The Food Boxes are on display NOW and available through December 29th. You may also donate any non-perishable items of your choice. In 2008, we donated more than 21 million pounds of food and gave more than $5.2 million through foundation and community giving. We did GREAT in '08! Now, help us SHINE IN '09 by ending hunger one community at a time.
