Lean Pockets Spinach Artichoke Chicken - 2 Sandwiches
July 16th, 2008Nestle has issued a Class 1 recall for its 9 oz. boxes of "Lean Pockets Spinach Artichoke Chicken - 2 sandwiches" due to potential plastic pieces in product.
For the safety of our customers, we have removed from our shelves Nestle 9 ounce boxes of Lean Pockets Spinach Artichoke Chicken - 2 sandwiches. Our company was notified by the manufacturer, Nestle, that 9 oz. boxes of Lean Pockets Spinach Artichoke Chicken with the Best Before date of Nov 2009, package code 8144 544616 and establishment number P7721A printed on the side of each box, could potentially contain pieces of plastic. We have elected to pull all lots of the 9 ounce boxes of Lean Pockets Spinach Artichoke Chicken product from our shelves, out of an abundance of caution. Customers who have purchased this item with the Best Before date of Nov 2009, package code 8144 544616 and establishment number P7721A can return the product to any Food Lion store for a full refund.

Salmolux Wild Alaskan Smoked Salmon Recall:
July 10th, 2008For the safety of our customers, we have removed from our shelves the 3 oz. Salmolux Wild Alaskan Smoked Salmon Nova Lox. Our company was notified by the manufacturer, Salmolux, that lot #01418 could potentially be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. We have elected to pull all lots of the 3 oz. Salmolux Wild Alaskan Smoked Salmon Nova Lox product from our shelves, out of an abundance of caution. Customers who have purchased this item with the lot #01418 can return the product to any Food Lion store for a full refund.

Tomato Recall:
June 15, 2008All red raw Roma, red raw plum and red raw round tomatoes sold within banners of Food Lion, LLC are being received from safe, approved sources.

June 8, 2008The FDA had issued an advisory recommending consumers not eat red raw Roma tomatoes, red raw plum tomatoes or red raw round tomatoes due to a salmonellosis outbreak. This outbreak has been linked to the consumption of these of tomatoes.
In the best interest of our customers, Food Lion LLC has pulled the effected tomatoes from store shelves on Sunday, June 8th. Our Food Safety team is closely monitoring the situation and we provide tomatoes that are from approved, safe sources per FDA guidance. Food Lion LLC is dedicated to provide safe, wholesome and quality products to each and every customer.
