In 1946, Albert Braswell Jr. returned from World War II with no job, however he had an abundance of pears along with his mother's recipe for pear preserves which had long since been a favorite among locals. We have remained committed to honoring the legacy by using locally harvested Kiefer and Orient pears. Crisp, sparkling pears and pure cane sugar are slowly cooked until a rich, amber hue is acquired.
