To enjoy safe fires we recommended: Instructions: Clean a 10 feet wide circle of any burnable materials, dry grass, leaves and wood. Place kindling or starter of choice on ground or fireplace grate. Allow air flow under starter and logs. Loosely stack Hotsticks around and above starter. Light starter and kindling. For optimum results, do not add additional logs until logs are burning well. Caution: Never build a camp fire under overhanging branches, or on steep slopes. Keep fires small and under control. Never leave fires unattended. Be sure marches are out! If not throwing used matches into the campfire, hold until cold and break it apart. Indoor Use: Instructions: Open chimney damper. Place kindling or starter of choice on fireplace grate. Allow air flow under starter and logs. Loosely stack Hotsticks around and above starter. Light starter or kindling. For optimum results, do not add additional logs until logs are burning well. Caution: Keep chimney clean, have chimney cleaned and inspected on a regular basis. Have an ABC fire extinguisher available. Never leave fire unattended. Close screen and/or glass doors to prevent sparks from escaping. Keep burnable materials away from fire. Keep children away from fire. (teach children fire safety).
