Safe Handling Instructions: This product was prepared from inspected and passed meat and/or poultry. Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave. Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard. Roasting Guidelines: Approximate Roasting Times (Use a shallow open pan with a flat rack in a 325 degrees F oven. If turkey is covered or placed in an oven cooking bag, cook time will vary). Size: 3-5-1/2 lbs - 2-1/2 hours unstuffed, 2-1/4 - 2-3/4 hours stuffed; Size: 5-1/2-9 lbs - 2-1/2 - 3 hours unstuffed, 3-1/2 - 4-1/2 hour stuffed. Prepare: 1. Remove outer plastic netting and wrapper. 2. Drain juices and pat turkey breast with paper towels. 3. Stuff turkey breast just before roasting, if desired. Lightly fill rib and neck cavities and cover exposed stuffing with foil. Roast: 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. 2. Place prepared turkey breast, skin side up, on flat roasting rack in 2 inches deep open roasting pan. Do not add water to pan. 3. Brush or spray skin with vegetable oil; insert oven-safe meat thermometer into the deepest part of the breast, not touching bone. 4. Roast uncovered. To check for doneness, temperature on a meat thermometer should be 165 degrees F in the breast. However, Butterball recommends that the temperature in the breast reach 170 degrees F for best eating experience. If the turkey breast is stuffed, the temperature in the center of the stuffing should be 165 degrees F. 5 Let turkey stand 10 minutes before carving. In the breast for optimal eating experience cook to 170 degrees F. Keep refrigerated. Storing: Fresh turkey should be refrigerated at 35 degrees F - 40 degrees F. The lower temperature is preferred. Cook as soon as possible (no later than the use by date) to ensure maximum freshness. If you are not confident about the temperature of your refrigerator, cook or freeze the turkey within 4 days of purchase.
