You Will Need: 2 Cups Water. Stove-Top Directions: 1. Heat water to rapid boil in 2-quart saucepan. Remove from heat. 2. Stir potatoes until well blended. 3. Cover; let stand 2 minutes to thicken. Microwave Directions: Do not leave microwave unattended while cooking potatoes. 1. Add water to 1-1/2-quart microwavable casserole dish. 2. Microwave on High 2:00. 3. Add potatoes; stir until well blended. Microwave on High 2:30 to 3:30. Caution: Handle carefully; dish may be Hot! 4. Stir. Microwave times developed using 1000-watt microwave ovens. Due to differences in microwave ovens, cooking times may need to be adjusted. For food safety and quality, follow the cooking directions. Refrigerate leftovers. Make It Like Betty: For stiffer potatoes, let stand 3 to 5 minutes. For less stiff potatoes, stir in more water, 1 tablespoon at a time. Tear open at notch.
