Cooking Directions. Stovetop: Gradually stir 1 cup of cold water into gravy mix in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring until gravy comes to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1 minute. Makes 1 cup. For creamier gravy, use 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup water. Microwave: Cooking Directions. Microwave (Microwave ovens vary; cook time is approximate): In a 1 1/2 quart microwave-safe bowl, combine gravy mix and 1 cup of cold water. Microwave on high 2-3 minutes or until thickened, stirring after each minute.
