When Madagascar Palms first sprout, they look like miniature palm trees! However, as these water-miser succulents mature, they grow a wide water-storing trunk that becomes covered in ornate spikes to protect it from animals looking to drink the water they store. Over time, these amazing plants can grow to heights of 200 feet in a tropical environment. This fun and entertaining kit comes with everything you need, even a collectible plant stake and genuine yellow jasper stone- just add water. The yellow jasper represents the sun that they thrive in. Directions

Planting your micro dome! 1. Place your decal on terrarium base. 2. Place the germination disk inside the base of the dome and slowly add 3/4 cup of water directly on the disk. Use a spoon to spread the mixture that will immediately start growing. 3. Use the spoon to aerate and evenly space soil across the dome and press smooth. 4. Spread your seeds on top of the germination mixture at least 2 inch apart. Press seeds down 1/4 inch into the soil and cover. 5. Place your stake and yellow jasper stone in your garden. Put the lid on the base, lining up the tabs and viewing window with the decal. 6. Place planted terrarium in bright indirect light, where it will not easily be knocked over. Madagascar palms can thrive in many light conditions, from light shade to full sun. 7. Your seeds will germinate in 1 to 4 weeks. 8. Keep top on until your plants reach the top, then remove. Prune any dead foliage from plants to encourage their growth. 9. You will need to water once a month or so when you remove the top. Madagascar palms can tolerate long dry spells. You can tell how dry or wet they by how full their foliage is. It is important to let the soil thoroughly dry out for a few days (at least) between waterings. Note: Contains superior soil! compressed soil disk includes natural additives, such as worm castings, kelp, and other nutrients that will nourish your plants to help them thrive! You may want to add additional nutrients after a few months to keep them flourishing!
