Directions

  1. Lightly spray an 8-inch round baking pan with nonstick spray.
  2. For the yellow layer, microwave the marshmallows and the butter in a microwave safe bowl for 1 minute. Stir until smooth and combined. Continue to microwave for 15-second intervals, if necessary.
  3. Mix in the desired amount of yellow food coloring.
  4. Stir in the cereal and mix until evenly combined. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and create an outer ring.
  5. For the orange layer, microwave the marshmallows and the butter in a microwave safe bowl for 30 seconds. Stir until smooth and combined. Continue to microwave for 15-second intervals, if necessary.
  6. Mix in the desired amount of orange food coloring.
  7. Stir in the cereal and mix until evenly combined. Press the mixture tightly against the yellow layer to create a second ring.
  8. For the white layer, microwave the marshmallows and the butter in a microwave safe bowl for 30 seconds. Stir until smooth and combined. Continue to microwave for 15-second intervals, if necessary.
  9. Stir in the cereal and mix until evenly combined. Fill the remaining space in the pan with the mixture and allow to cool for 1 hour. Remove the Rice Krispies from the pan and slice into 8 triangles.
  10. Microwave the white chocolate chips in a small bowl for 30 seconds. Stir until smooth. Continue to microwave for 10-second intervals, if necessary. Dip the points of each triangle treat into the white chocolate and allow to set on parchment paper before serving.

Recipe Tip: To cook the butter and the marshmallows on the stovetop, first melt the butter in a saucepan and then add the marshmallows. Heat until most of the marshmallows are melted and then remove from the heat and continue to stir to fully melt the marshmallows.
