Fajita Burgers

Two iconic dinner entrees collide in these festive fajita burgers! Cumin- and chili powder-spiced burgers are topped with sauteed peppers and onions, sliced avocado and a sour cream garlic sauce for an appetizing pub-style entree. For a plant-based version, swap in your preferred veggie burger brand.

  1. Mix together the sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic, lemon juice and 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a small bowl. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (400°F).
  3. Mix together the ground beef, remaining salt, cumin and chili powder. Form 4 equal patties.
  4. Grill the burgers for 6 minutes and flip. Grill an additional 4-5 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Grill the burgers for 6 minutes and flip. Grill an additional 4-5 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Fan the avocado slices on the bottom half of each bun. Top with the burgers, sour cream garlic sauce, sauteed onions and peppers, and bun top. Enjoy immediately.

Recipe Tip: For an extra bit of texture, toast the kaiser rolls on the grill, cut side down, for 10-15 seconds until lightly golden brown.
